I have seen so many delicious ice cream and sorbet recipes I am dying to try . . . The problem: I often find this one little step "Add mixture to your ice cream maker." I then realize I should have taken my own advice to read the entire instructions before creating.
I do have to admit one thing. Marek and I have an ice cream maker from his old house and I have no idea how to use it :O. The way I see it, there are two possible solutions:
1) I learn how to use the ice cream maker
OR . . .
2) I use my loaf pan and see what happens.
I believe I've mentioned my polished procrastination skills before, so you can probably guess which one I chose. And so you have it . . . Five ingredient, mixed berry sorbet . . . No ice cream maker required!
WHAT YOU NEED
5 Ingredient, Mixed Berry Sorbet
VEGAN + GLUTEN FREE
total time: 2 hrs (needs to freeze)
5 cups berries (frozen)
2 cups coconut water
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons lemon juice
- Freeze berries until firm.
- Stir maple syrup into coconut water and blend with frozen berries, lemon juice and salt, until creamy and smooth. Eat immediately soft-serve-style, or freeze in a loaf pan up to 3 days.
