Mango, Matcha, Maca . . . Please try to say it three times fast :D

WHAT YOU NEED
greens (kale & spinach)
cashews or cashew butter
matcha green tea powder
I wasn't sure if this experiment would work, but it seems mango, maca and matcha are quite the combo. This super-shake includes antioxidant-packed, matcha, and the ancient Peruvian superfood, Maca, mixed with plenty of protein, healthy fats, and greens to super-charge your day! Maca has an interesting, potent flavor, so I tend to pair this agricultural wonder with sweet fruits to balance it out. The mango did just that! Maca tends to thicken smoothies, so keep that in mind as well.
Mango Matcha Maca Breakfast Shake
HEMP MILK, COCONUT WATER, GREENS, CASHEW BUTTER, MANGO, MATCHA, MACA, FLAX, PROTEIN
total Time: 5 minutes
3 c greens (I used half spinach + half kale)
2 c coconut water
1 c hemp milk (or any nut milk of choice)
2 scoops plant based protein powder
3 T cashew butter
2 t maca powder
2 T flax meal
1 t vanilla
2 c frozen mango (I added a couple pieces of frozen pineapple too)
2 c ice
- Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Note: I like to start with the liquids, greens, nuts/meals, and powders. Once blended, I'll add the frozen stuff.
