Five Ingredient, Almond Butter Oat Bites {v, gf, sf, no bake}


I love trying out the different cleanse ideas on the market.  One of my most recent experiments is the The Suja Essentials 3 Day Fresh Start. This cleanse is a whole food centered plan created to eliminate anything that doesn’t make you feel your best.  The plant based nutrition including hydration, protein, fats, and carbohydrates consists of three juices + three mini meals per day.  You can buy it at Costco and since Marek is a serious Costco addict, you can imagine my excitement when I saw Suja Juice on the shelves.  This is one of the sample mini meals to start your day.  Stay tuned as I'll give you my take on the entire cleanse next week!


WHAT YOU NEED

INGREDIENTS

  1. 6 tablespoons raw oats (GF)
  2. 3 teaspoons maple syrup 
  3. 4 teaspoons un-roasted almond butter 
  4. 1.5 teaspoon ground flax seeds 
  5. Cinnamon to taste

No Bake, Almond Butter Oat Bites

VEGAN + GLUTEN FREE

serves: 2

total time: 30 min (20 min in freezer)

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 tablespoons raw oats (GF) 
  • 3 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 4 teaspoons un-roasted almond butter
  • 1.5 teaspoon ground flax seeds
  • Cinnamon to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients well until the maple and almond have coated the oats 
    well.  
  2. Press into a small dish and freeze for about 20 min or until firm.  Store in refrigerator.
