Whether you're a vegan, trying to eat healthier, or just plain out of eggs . . . It's easy to create egg substitutions with anything lying around the house! Here is a simple list of egg substitutions. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
1 Egg =
1 Flax Egg (my fav)
1 Tablespoon flax meal + 3 Tablespoons hot water for each egg
- Mix together and let sit for 5-10 minutes to set and become gel-like
1 Applesauce Egg
3 Tablespoons unsweetened applesauce + 1 teaspoon baking powder for each egg
1 Oil Egg
1 teaspoon baking powder + 1.5 Tablespoons water + 1.5 Tablespoons oil
1 Banana Egg
3 Tablespoons mashed banana
1 Fruit Puree Egg
3 Tablespoons fruit puree + 1 teaspoon baking powder for each egg
1 Tofu Egg
4 Tablespoons pureed silken tofu + 1 teaspoon baking powder for each egg
1 Gelatin Egg
3.5 Tablespoons prepared gelatin
