The reason I chose this meditation for a warm up series is because part of self love is being patient and giving yourself time to warm up.  We all get anxious to challenge ourselves physically, but it's easy to tear muscles in yoga especially when it's hot and our muscles are so warm.  That being said, give yourself time to ease into the asanas  (postures) without pushing too hard.  Next time you're practicing, try going only to your edge in your yoga pose, backing off slightly, then moving deeper into the pose little by little on each exhale.  I added inhale and exhale suggestions below under the asanas. 


We encourage readers to #PracticeAnywhere and thus, we post yoga flow sequences with meditations to get you started.  Before practicing the sequences, we always suggest to "start with warm-up stretches or a warm up series to awaken the body."  Many of you asked me what that warm up series looks like, so here is a warm up sequence I like to use!
